This handwoven willow shoulder basket is both practical and elegant. Its gently tapered shape sits comfortably against the body while the sturdy weave keeps its contents secure. The soft leather strap is reinforced with stitching and copper rivets for lasting strength. Please note that the strap is non-adjustable.
Ideal for carrying everyday essentials, a packed lunch, a sketchbook and pencils, or a knitting project on the go.
The main framework of this basket is woven with Dicky Meadows willow, a soft-toned green variety traditionally grown for finer baskets due to its strong and slender nature. Additional willow varieties have been incorporated to create a colour-changing pattern.
Size: Basket – 32cm long by 20cm wide across the base, tapering to 26cm long by 16cm wide at the border. This basket has a graduated front and back profile, with the height lowering to 17cm at the front and 18cm on the back before rising to 22cm at the sides. Brown leather strap – 102cm long by 2 cm wide.
